Hi! My name is L and I'm the author of Sage Patch; this is my second blog...where the daily entries don't belong to me, but to a hard working 50's Farm wife, straight out of her personal Diaries.
My first entry started in May 1951/2010 and will continue for one year from the first entry. After this, the next diary I own jumps to 1956, followed by 1966 and 1973.
I am not related to the Farmwife, however as soon as I opened the first few pages of the 1951 diary, I felt like I was reading about my Grandmothers. So I'd like to dedicate this blog to the loving memory of my Grandmothers, Anna and Freda.
Here and there, when it relates to a certain entry/post, I will add links to certain old timey sites, photographs of my vintage and antique items from of own collection, as well as recipes and other snippets.
*No censoring, just the facts and entries as they were written by her. This includes her way of spelling and writing; and some times details of unpleasant occurrences, such as deaths/accidents, etc
