Monday
Beautiful day! HOT.
G got up at 4:30 went to cornfield, plowed his field came in, eat breakfast, changed shovels then went out to Will's to plow for Cecil. Plowed a total of 24 acres today.All of his and C together, now he has gone to Bob's to see about Tuesday work.
Bobbie R came; he and Mike and I worked over in Grandma's garden good! Then plowed some in this one.
Put in four rows of poles; then planted 185 tomato plants...hoed and pulled weeds.
Boy what a day!
Planted 3 rows of popcorn, 2 rows of Beans...didn't get done too much planting for one day.
Tired as four little doggies!
June 19, 1951
Tuesday
I was tired and worn out from Monday work; real proud of our work if it did take a lot of work, it's so nice and clean. G plowing today (corn) up at Bob's.
Planted beans in with corn.
June 20, 1951
Wednesday
Festival at Patmos, was busy all day up till 11:30..I went for ice and made freezer cream, got things ready, left here at 2, stopped at M.L.'s; MJ and I put lights up and got ready made freezer cream up at F's had NINE freezers and sold out, had a good big crowd and nice evening too!
G plowed corn at Bob's till dinner then they baled 285 bales.
I came home, done up the work good went over helped C bale another 210 bales, was 10 o'clock when we got done.
