July 15th, 16th and 17th 1951

July 15, 1951 Sunday

Hot as 40!!! Went up here to church then eat dinner then we went up to town. G went to ball game, I went to M.L.'s, Fred came in too.
G and I went up to Mary's tavern to see about a dog. No Bull. Got in hard rain coming home...didn't rain here. This was an awful hard rain up the country, sure must of been hail in it.

July 16, 1951 Monday

Very hot after rain.
10am now, thru washing now. Pie asleep. G went to see about cutting oats...too wet.
I was over to R a little in evening, we went up to see about a little dog. Gone when we got up there.

July 17, 1951 Tuesday

Eggs #64
Warm again. Hard rain in evening. I made up the goods I got at Bowman's like the dotted dress. I like it very much...done all but buttonholes.

1940's button holer

Mrs. Miller was over. Then in evening, she + kids brought little tub full of cucumbers over. Was here till nearly 9. I didn't get to meeting at Pearl's.
G and Poots cut oats at Coley H's.
