Went up to town for feed + to Mauertown for chicks. 150 in all 156 $26.62 sure is hot 92 on the porch. E quilting. Mom sewing Tippy asleep. She really liked the chicks. Pigs doing fine. G making fence and has gone now to disc for Grover. Mabel down this eve.

Saturday
G is disking E quilting, Mom sewing. I cleaneding + ready now for pies. Tippy asleep. Radio is playing. Chicks doing good and pigs too.
Awful warm again today. Was a hot nite too. Up around 98 some today. Margaret and Judy up a while. Mrs. Evans sold truck Kids won’t get up now.
October 7, 1951
Sunday
First Sunday, Communion up here. Good many out. H came down. He + G went to Fort to hunt eggs. A change in the weather, looks so like rain so dark + gloomy and cold + windy…some change.
To much static to hear the ballgame. Peepies doing okay; pigs too.

Monday
Cool as 40 all day. E quilted fast Mom cut rags I sewed on E dress. Fire felt very good. Peepies thought it was cool too. 2 died so far. Pigs okay.
World series was rained out Sun. Yankees won today over Giants.
