January 13, 1951
Saturday

Awful nice day for the 13th of Jan. Will clean up + mop up good. Messed around got supper. Here come Roy. G went fishing, I went up to town + to ML's till 11:30. G was home in bed when I got home. No fish.
Dr. Roy died at Charlottville this pm. been there over a month. Good surgeon.

January 14, 1951
Sunday
Raining cats and dogs real hard up till nite. I went up to Patmos to preaching then to MJ to dinner. MJ feeling bad. Sure was a wet rainy day. Melvin came home from camp today the first in 15 weeks. Si got him a 1948 Plymouth.

January 15, 1951
Monday

*Taken Margaret to Stanton today, nerves bad.
Winch called Cecil at 3am, Bess had coughing spell tore several stitches out, will give her ether and put them back. Cecil and Clint left about 7:30 to go down was there all day. Gave her pt blood too, must not be doing to good.
G went to mill with big load feed. I went up to Garlan's to put quilt on frame.

Awful muddy + wet, colder tonite.

I was busy all day fixing for Wednesdays dinner + cleaning up. G gone for eggs (41). Nice weather.
Bess had bad nite again, called Cecil again this morning early.
