September 13, 1951
Thursday

Warm as 40!
R + G working on hog lot at sproutsin PM. G sleeping, R taking his Mother to town. E is quilting. I patched several pieces and then got dinner. Made sparrow rib pot pie they sure enjoyed it; made tray of frostee too. No mail from J yet. Homer Lutz sent me 4 sets of pepper + salt set from East Liverpool Ohio. 2 negros, 2 round globes, covered wagon and baseball + glove. Sure is nice.

Friday

Raining thsi AM. Sure comes in good. G asleep R gone to Strasburg E quilting. I'm putting Mr. R clothes together + mopping. Luther wrote they were coming over this PM. To rainy they didn't come.
R went to Ediburg I went along to see Doug. He is feeling very good. G + Tippy went over to see old man and to get gas to clean 2 clocks. R left about 2pm for a a evening of fun he said. We had a good laugh out of Tippy and the umbrella because it was raining so hard.

Saturday

Very nice day. We messed around herea t first; one job then the other. R left and went to town and up after her Mother at Ada's. They will take Aunt Sarah away from Ada's soon. We went up to town in evening. Mom got letter from Hollis.

September 16, 1951 *Eldena and Ralph married today

Opened new hospital today

Eldena's wedding day.
A beautiful day. Had a big crowd. R + I went to town. Got ML went out to wedding. Came in to new hospital to see it. A terrible big crwod there sure is a fine building. R went home about 3 will be 1 year before he gets another vacation. Came home and fed the stuff eat a bite and now we are all each writing.
