Wednesday
Pigs 11 weeks old.
Pigs doing fine.
Snowed some last nite and snowed to beat the band- this AM. In pm the sn out, nice and brite but much colder and windy outside. G been out working and now has gone to Strasburg for feed. H was here a little; got 5 more cakes.
No mail much. 2 sacks/8 sacks

Thursday
Truman K have a new girl 'Brenda Sue' (11 years apart)
Cold as 40 and then some!
I cut + sewed on Mom's dress. Elsie gave her the print, I hemed up my new black dress, was too long...was awful dark to try to sew.
In evening I went up to Evelyn's and went with her to PAtmos to practice. Got home at 9.

December 14, 1951
Friday
SNOW
Chicks 10 weeks old
Our biggest snow. Snowed all day in evening it sleeted, then rained. About 3 or 4 in. of snow. I sewed on Mom's dress got it done. Worked button holes this eve.
G messed around all day. Was gone fishing, but 2 snowy for them.
Cecil butchered today had it done at Hockman's
*eggs .59
Had letter from Mom
December 15, 1951
Saturday
MJ + H had bad day got home at 8pm. Was terrible cold and windy all day. Went went over to see about river and went back in evening but to windy. We went up to town a little before evening.
I baked pies and made sauce and messed around in kitchen till he come home.
Awful rough on chickens and all of our stock.
