February 21 , 1951

Wednesday

Both black gilts had pigs last nite…each had 10. Weather kinda rainy + heavy.

G gone for eggs and we messed around. In evening E + I went up to see ML she is feeling some better. Some colder windy now too.

Little Johnny lost his mind today at Stock sale is in Winc now.

February 22, 1951

Thursday
George Washington would be 219 years old today.

Very nice day. Sun. Pretty + bright.

I baked coconut cake, cleaned some. E ironed some, washed some in PM Luther + Dot came over.

1 hog has 7 now, the other has 9

February 23, 1951

Friday

Both hogs have 7 each. Nice weather. E + I was counting on getting lots done and here come Mrs. S, such a noise! Arms full of 2 dresses, 2 slips, 1 dress to fix for her.

In evening I cut and put new satin lining in E’s fur coat got nearly done till 11 o’clock fixed her dress too.

Saturday

Fine weather. Taken E to Strasburg to Stella’s to get hair fixed. Came back on bus. I sewed on ML’s house coat, got it done till Sunday. 

G shelled corn from crib.
