August 7th, 8th and 9th 1951

August 7th
Tuesday

*64 eggs
Sewed on Mom's dress till noon then E + I went up to Mr. Evan's funeral; so wonderful many flowers, chapel full, went up to ML to see Andup kids.
This Tippy girl sure is growing and as frisky as can be!

August 8th
Wednesday
Sewed turnip seed, lettuce, radish and curly mustard

Mom's 83rd B-day and Nancy M's b-day too
Was cloudy this AM but sun out bright now. Guy gone to bale straw. I killed rooster for dinner, got beans, baked 3 pies, gathered bucket of tomatoes, done 100 jobs before I started to sew; got Mom's dress done + 2 of E's. On the third one now.
Stella and Robert was over to talk. Tippy asleep.

G finished baling straw at Tasker today. $84.00 for 651 bales

August 9th
Thursday

Wonderful HOT but no rain. We washed and sewed today was out in corn field to see about beans fine stalks and some beans on.
Rev + Mrs Watson was here a little have some poison on my face now.

Tippy is a bird to sleep + play both. Eggs 64
