*Found a pig dead side of the creek, don't know why

Cloudy till about 11 then it rained some. I washed as I didn't have anything else to do much, so everything got dry. i killed rooster in evening + done all work up. G up to Bob's working on car. Ruth is nursing Cecil C; she says he is a sick man.

Thurs

Very nice out, quite warm done work this AM + PM as he left early for Bob's to work on car. Didn't come home till 10:30. I made pear honey and ironed. Fried chicken for supper but no one to eat it...only Tippy, Pie and I here. Was on the go all day.
No mail much but papers. Ruth still nursing + sleeping.

Peepies 6 weeks old and weigh 2#'s
Dr. Woodward operated on Garlan B today.
Was busy all day in the kitchen; made applesauce twice made 8 fruit cakes, made meat loaf, got supper, ironed 5 pieces, patched 2 pieces, helped with work by golly!
I'm calling it a day.
H came this way; G is to go to PA for eggs for him in the morning. Am tired as 3 pups tonite!
No mail much. Rained some today, Sun shone some, wind blew some.

Saturday

G left at 4:30am for PA to deliver eggs 75c doz got back in PM. He and H gathered up turkeys, got feed for me, then we went up to help on eggs till 10:30pm...cold as 40!
Came home, made up fire and talked until 1am. Pretty good sized day.
5th sack of feed.
